In this episode of Elevate 808, we’re turning problems into possibilities — and serving up some serious local flavor.

First, we head to Wahiawa to meet the husband & wife team behind The Albizia Project, a social enterprise transforming one of Hawaiʻi’s most invasive trees into something beautiful and useful — from surfboards to sustainable building materials. It’s all about thinking differently, taking care of our ʻāina, and turning challenges into change 🌳🏄‍♂️

Then we stop by Big City Diner, the restaurant that introduced Hawaiʻi to kimchee fried rice and continues to serve up comfort food with a local twist. We join some UH student-athletes for an epic eating contest and talk story about food, sports, and supporting community 🏐🏈🍳
