First, we head to Diem 99 Cafe, where Huynh Le takes us shopping in Chinatown and into her kitchen to show us how she preps for the day (and teaches Nolan how to make a summer roll 🥢). Along the way, she shares her powerful personal journey — including how she escaped Vietnam by being lifted into a moving plane before the fall of Saigon.
Then we visit her daughter Wendy Trinh at Furever Friends Play & Stay, a daycare and boarding facility for cats and dogs 🐾 We tag along for Gnort’s birthday party 🐶🎉, get to know the staff, and hear Wendy’s story of launching her business.
